Emergency Tree Removal

When a tree comes down in a storm or starts leaning over your house, you need it dealt with fast, not next week. Bayside Trees and Palms provides emergency tree removal across the Redlands, Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich. Call Max directly on 0451 785 940 and he will talk you through the situation and get out to you as quickly as possible.

When to call us

Not sure if it counts as an emergency? If a tree is threatening people, your home or your neighbour's property, it does. Common call outs include:

  • Trees or large branches down after a storm

  • Trees leaning over houses, sheds, fences or driveways

  • Split trunks and hanging branches that could drop at any time

  • Trees down over access ways, blocking cars or pedestrians

  • Palms or trees pushed over in wet ground

If a tree has brought down powerlines, stay well clear and call Energex on 13 19 62 first. Once the power situation is safe, we can handle the tree.

What happens when you call

  1. Tell us what you can see. A quick photo or video helps us bring the right gear.

  2. We assess on site. Max will check how the tree is loaded and what it is threatening before anything gets cut.

  3. We make it safe. Depending on the situation that might mean full removal, or removing the dangerous sections first and finishing the job once the risk is gone.

  4. We clean up. Green waste is chipped and removed, or left as mulch if you would like to keep it.

Storm damage and insurance

If the damage is part of an insurance claim, we can provide photos of the tree before and after the work along with an itemised invoice to pass on to your insurer. Get in touch with your insurance company early so you know what they need documented.

FAQ

How fast can you get here? It depends on where you are and what else is happening, big storms mean a lot of calls at once. Call Max and he will give you an honest timeframe on the spot.

Do I need council approval to remove a storm damaged tree? Trees that pose an immediate risk to people or property can generally be made safe straight away. Rules vary between councils, so we will let you know if anything needs to be lodged for your situation.

Will my insurance cover emergency tree removal? Many home policies cover removal of trees that have damaged or are threatening insured structures. Check with your insurer, and we will supply the photos and paperwork they ask for.

Can you just make the tree safe rather than remove it? Often yes. If removing a broken limb or reducing the crown makes the tree safe, that can be a cheaper option and we will tell you when it is.
